The M1030M1 JP8/Diesel Military Motorcycle has been under development since 1998. It is designed to operate reliably and efficiently on Kerosene based fuels to include Diesel Fuel and Aviation Kerosene. HDT is under contract with the U.S. Marine Corps to delivery over 440 M1030M1s. Production will begin in March of 2006.  
 
 

ENGINE:
Type: 4-Stroke, IDI, single cylinder, liquid cooled.
Displacement: 611cc
Power: 30 PS @ 5700 RPM
Torque: 33 ft-lbs @ 4200 RPM
Lubrication: Wet sump, compatible with MIL-L-2104 lubricant.
Air Filtration: High capacity, 3-stage, oiled foam, reusable
Transmission: 5-speed, constant mesh, return shift.
Final Drive: Self lubricated, sealed, O-ring roller chain.

ELECTRICAL
Battery: 12 volt, 625 CCA “Dry Cell” Maintenance Free
Alternator: 14 amp, 14 volt, AC, Three Phase
Standard Lighting: DOT approved lighting system.
Blackout Lighting: Driving, Marker & Tail/Stop lights meeting MIL-STD-1179. IR Driving Light Optional

Handlebar & Controls: Heavy duty with integral hand and control guard.
Throttle: Dual cable with auto & manual return, water & dust resistant.

Speedometer: Calibrated in MPH & KPH with resettable odometer, illuminated.

The M1030M1E is a variant of the M1030M1. It is specifically designed to meet the needs of both the UK and EU NATO countries. Production of both the M1030M1 and M1030M1E will begin in March of 2006.

Power: 28 PS [21 kw] @ 5500 rev/min.

Transmission: Gear primary drive. Wet multi-plate clutch. Five speed, constant mesh gearbox, return shift.

At 48 PS, the M1030B1 Military Motorcycle is the most powerful production tactical military motorcycle ever put into service. The M1030B1 is currently in service with the U.S. Marine Corps, the U.S. Army, and the U.S. Air Force.
